HEY, teachers, Let's get grounded.
tap into your body wisdom and allow your energy to transform the relationship to your workspace.
It's not secret that as teachers we can easily be thrown a curve ball over here, a high-stress situation there. If we aren't practiced in remaining grounded in that moment, we can get sucked into the chaos and rigidity, often making the situation worse.
Why embodiment: a deep dive into the science behind the body-mind connection and how embodiment practices can radically change your experience in your workspace
Application to Leadership: Strategies and practices to become a more embodied leader in your profession
Application to students: ways to encourage bodyfulness in your students (without it being weird) and reciprocal energy exchange in the classroom.
Along with the philosophy of embodiment, you'll learn practical applications, tips, and strategies so that you can live fully into your role as an embodied leader and teacher and watch as your presence shifts the energy of your workspace.
We can't just keep strategizing our way into healthier classroom experiences.
Learn how to set up systems of reciprocity so that your students can learn from your example and contribute to the energetic requirements of the school day!

As a high school English teacher and a yoga teacher, I am aware of how my body creates energy in the room. After so many years of practice, I've fine-tuned how to infuse body language and embodiment strategies into my classroom teaching in order to create energetic reciprocity, full engagement, and to keep me from burning out.

Please offer more classes like this!

You may have your classroom routines, syllabus, and student activities down, but you still feel depleted, like your energy is not reciprocated- like you're not living into your energetic edge. This workshop series will help you do that, without having to think too hard :)
It's in your body, baby!

want something like that?

Sarah and Jess have a great energy and create a warm and comforting space to explore ideas from the concrete science of breathing to the abstract bodily experience of it. Whether you are stressed out or feeling anxious or you are just looking for another tool for your toolbox, I highly recommend this course to everyone.

To be effective, we must first understand and become familiar with the untapped potential of education that goes beyond our thinking brain. To feel empowered and strong is to also be able to stand in our dignity, with the energy that comes from- as is reciprocated by- our bodies.
Once we understand how our bodies mirror and move energy among all living beings, then we can further understand the depth of our relationships, responsibilities, and the deep care that comes with all of it, and when we become healthier, so do our students, colleagues, family, friends, and all of other living beings in our ecosystem.
Get out of your head and into your body.
Embedded in this course are learnings in wellness, emotional intelligence, and leadership, all of which usually fall under the matrix of Continuing Education Units in most districts.
We encourage you to reach out to your district to see if they will accept this as continuing education.
We have found that many schools sponsor their teachers for our trainings. It's worth an ask!
